10 Crazy Fire Pit Designs
While researching the latest in fire pit design, I came across an article featuring 10 Crazy Fire Pit Designs. Now, I wouldnt exactly call them crazy, but a few them them may fall into a wacky category, including an "indoor fire pit" (I wouldnt recommend having an open flame burning in your home unless contained within a fireplace, but nonetheless, its available to consumers.) Talk about a fire hazard.
Anyway, there are a few designs in there that are pretty cool, including a custom fire pit above an outdoor sink and cooking area.
My other favorite is the "knights of the round table" burning system with an exposed area in the center of a ring of fire, pretty cool looking and a great conversation starter for sure.
Another cool trend, and one that we worked on an install at the owner of G.A. Larsons home yesterday, is the mixing of fire and water features. They add an element of contradiction, yet balance, as fire and water come together to heighten the ambiance of an outdoor setting. A waterfall spilling in between two custom fire bowls is a lovely addition to his pool area, and a custom fire pit sits next to his hot tub which is a tier below the waterfall. The picture below isnt his, but you get the idea. I hope to be posting some pictures and a video soon of his amazing landscape design and property.
Granted, we dont and wouldnt sell half of these fire pits because they are wood burning, and quite frankly, half of them are the chinsey portable type, but nonetheless, they are fun to look at and see where fire pit design has come over the past few years.
Till next time, I hope you check us out for all of your custom fire pit, fireplace and outdoor burning system needs.
